The Tregargus Trust were awarded £13430. This is to rebuild and form new footpaths through the Tregargus valley. The valley is situated between Nanpean and St Stephens and offers a nice walk as well as some old waterwheels some of which has been restored.
We are new to the area having just moved in. However, we just wanted to say how lovely the Trevargus valley walk is at the lay by between St. Stephen and Nanpean. It is clear that someone has been strimming as tidying up and it looks fantastic. We walk there with our dog and love it. We always pick up after our dog and wish others who enjoy the walk would do the same. A dog bin or litter bin would be great but appreciate someone has to empty it. We hope others also appreciate the tidying up being done by the trust.
Walking my ancestors valley, notice how much more rubbish ,litter pick needed,
Having moved down after an absence of 30 years I was delighted to find a new walk. If you have enjoyed Luxulyan Valley you will love Tregargus. Walking through the woods and suddenly coming upon the lovely old mills with water wheels gives you a real sense of the industry and enterprise that existed in Cornwall. Now a haven for wildlife, I spotted a hummingbird hawkmoth taking advantage of the fuschia bushes. A big thank you to those that maintain it.
just had a lovely walk theough the valley but would like to no where the £13000 went to build paths ?? think it could do with some bins and doggy doo collection bins and some imfo on the building that r there . still a lovely walk that could be grt if there was a bit of tlc .
I will pass on this comment to the tregargus Trust.
